Hi! The sea shore is rocky? Is it possible to swim at your beach?

We do have kayaks and paddle boards for our guest due the seashore is a little bit rocky. For swimming, a few meters is the reef, where you can admire the beauty of the flora and fauna in the Caribbean sea.

We are a small property with 11 rooms - five lower rooms and six in the 3rd floor. We hope we can host you soon. Welcome!

We are planning to fly in during the night, ETA at CUN is around 4am - which would mean that we would be at the hotel around 6am-7am. That is way off your published check-in times - would that be possible?

Hola! Thanks for asking, prices may vary due to proximity to the beach. The beach front rooms are more expensive than the ocean view rooms, it also depends on whether it is the first floor or the upper floor.

What would you highlight about Casa Altamar
A Paradise outside of Town and welcoming staff
This place is absolutely paradise if you are looking for a relaxed stay away from the touristic Center of Tulum/Playa Del Carmen. Very few people around. Private Clean Beach with beautiful ocean and reef. You can use SUPs and Kajaks for free! Our room was very clean and comfortable. Good working A/C. I want to emphasize the really welcoming and helpful staff; We felt like staying with friends. Also, they gave us an outstanding hearty welcome when we arrived. One of our best stays during our vacation in Yucatan! Also Check Out the Cenote which is only a 10 min's walk!
There were electricity outages a few times. Be aware It's hard to come around when you don't have a car. The area is rural and Taxis are expensive. I cannot recommend the Restaurant. The prices are way too high (like everywhere in the area) and the quality was not good either.

JUST AMAZING
Amazing staff in the restaurant. Very attentive and addresses everyone personally by name. Amazing food quality of a very high end restaurant. Huge comfy bed. Very clean
Shower water pressure could be increased and WiFi could be better in room. Fridges in room would be useful but restaurant let us store drinks in their fridge. These are extremely minor things that can be forgotten though.

The perfect place you didn't know about!
Absolutely everything. It is HEAVEN ON EARTH. Located outside of the noisy area (taxi is about 500-600 MXN to/from Tulum Centro), the staff is incredibly welcoming and caring. The view... the most beautiful sunrises I've ever seen, the pool and the beach are so beautiful and natural (so peaceful!). It is the best place for a relaxing, intimate-meditative vacation. I would definitely be back!
Honestly, the tiny things aren't worth mentioning. It is absolutely perfect. Thank you Arturo and the amazing team!

What would you highlight about Casa Altamar
Tulum is must see destination with the historic Mayan ruins and plenty of gorgeous cenotes.
The hotel is definitely more of a boutique which I absolutely loved. The picturesque b with the incredible view amd being right on the beach . Loved my room with all of the decor the bed; the bed was super comfortable and everything so clean and perfectly cooled room with a great terrace with a view of the shore. The staff were so attentive/ helpful and made the stay so lovely and food/ drink was delicious (definitely try the margaritas!)
I loved the food however I do wish they had a more expansive menu and that there were on-site staff after business hours. lt was a bit off a hassle to check out as I had to catch my shuttle to the airport around 7:30am and I had to search for a contact number to reach someone as there is no front desk. I would recommend having access to essentials like an iron or steamer for travelers.
